Hello

The cable that runs from the servo to the throttle on my 98 Expy, broke right where it connects to the throttle. Looks like a bad design, brittle plastic connection to metal. I was wonder if there is a way to 'weld' the plastic back together or if anyone knows where I can get the part? I've searched the net to no avail. I called my local Ford dealer and was told the part was 'obsolete'! That's BULLSH##, the vehicle is only 12 years old!

Any help, advice or direction would be appreciated.

I've used a soldering gun to weld plastic. Sometimes you need a little extra plasic, so i get something made of the same type and weld it on. Just make sure nothing can break loose and hold tha throttle open. If you can get the part number from Ford, check here.
