Today, I replaced a popped brake hose, front driver side. Of course, when it was leaking I tried to use my Emergency Brake but it just slid to the floor (it has never worked on my 98 Navigator (new to me about 6 months ago, summer 11)). So, I replaced the brake hose and it all works just fine. But the Emergency Brake System Warning light on the dashboard stays on all the time. Plenty of fluid in the brake reservoir.

The emergency brake is released, and it seems to have popped back into position...it's not down. So what could be keeping the light on and how do I reset it?

It's either the switch on the park brake pedal or the fluid switch in the master cylinder. Sometimes the float sticks at the bottom of the reservoir and if you tap it, the float will float again.
