Disconnected battery - now power liftgate and power siderails broken

Hey guys first time posting here. I disconnected the battery with the liftgate open while working on my 2004 Navigator Ultimate today, and once I reconnected the battery the door would no longer power close or open. I can manually close it, and it won't wiggle, but the sensor still thinks it is in the open position. I've tried resetting the battery and manually closing then powering opening (or several combinations of this approach) and nothing appears to work. During this period of time, my power side rails still continued to work, but at some point in the evening they ceased to function. This was after I disconnected and reconnected the battery probably 10 times. Checked the fuses and I don't see any blown fuses, but I will check again tomorrow. Any suggestions for either of these issues? Thanks ahead of time.

From another forum on the same subject ,

" I assume you have checked your fuses. My owner's guide indicates fuse number 5 @ 7.5Amp, 30 @ 30Amps, and 105 @ 30Amps. Is anything else not working because they all run multiple things as well.

Do you have power running boards? Fuse 105 only powers the liftgate and running boards. If your liftgate glass works, you can forget fuse 30.

Are you getting any warnings in your "Message Center"?

Sometimes my key fob looses it's connectivity and will not open liftgate. I have to use the button by the rearview mirror before it resets and works properly again. "

Thank you for the response. I checked my fuses again, specifically 105 and it is fine. Glass still works. Both keyfob and interior switch will not open power liftgate, but I can open it manually from the lever, the motor never takes over when lowering it back down. I get the liftgate ajar message in the message center, and the lights will not turn off because of it.

I purchased a VGATE ELM327 OBDII sensor and the Torque Pro app for Android, and it is not reporting any fault codes. I'm not sure why, because I currently see 3 error codes in the message center including the liftgate ajar message.

I was also looking through the Ford Factory Service manual, and it says to troubleshoot the power liftgate module before troubleshooting the power side steps. It lists several DTC's to troubleshoot the Power Liftgate Module, but I'm not sure how to gain access to them, especially since nothing seems to appear listed as a fault code in the Torque Pro app. Any insight into viewing the DTC codes would be very much appreciated!
