Door rattles on 2003 Ford Expedition - Ford Forums

I only have about 300 miles on my new Ford Expedition but the two rear doors have rattled since day one on any pavement that is less than smooth. The sounds seem to emanate from INSIDE the doors. I do not know if these are the door/window seals. I have read in other sites that this problem is not rare among 2003 Expeditions and, in fact, there has been mention that Ford has also been nonplussed about a solution.

Before I go to the dealer -- I do not think that I can wait for my 1,000 mile check-up -- I would really appreciate any feedback on this so that I can profer some suggestions to the service people in the dealership should they be "in the dark" about a solution to this.

I thought I was the only one with this problem. I have the same exact thing going on with the Navigator. Once you get up to 65 mph and more it sounds more like squeaking with occasional rattling.

Sometimes it sounds like mice are in there. At other times it sounds like "wires" are rattling around in there.

I'd be curious to see if anyone else knows of a solution to this.
