Engine cutting out on 2003 Expedition - Ford Forums

Hey everyone,

Been having some problems recently with my Truck and i cant pinpoint the problem.

The engine cuts out occasionally from a dead stop about 2 seconds after accelerating and also occasionally on the freeway at full speed. When cutting out from a dead stop it also dies once in a while.

This problem seems to also depend on the temperature of the engine or the temperature of the day. Which i have read could point to an EGR issue.

If anyone else has seen or experienced this I would like to know. Thanks

I also just found a post that I have experienced twice in my Expe, anyone else know more about this?:

The Expo would studder and stall randomly. The car wouldn't throw any codes. Took the dealer 2 months to realize the computer had a surge on it and was acting strange. Replaced that and no issues since.

hi there if i was you i would test the pressure output of the fuel pump souns like its starving for fuel due to poor fuel pressure
