Alright people - I've got a new Expedition coming and I'm thinking about a few mods already! Anyone know of a good grille/push bar made for the 2001 Expedition in black? Preferably gloss black as most manufacturers don't know how to powdercoat correctly. I'm also looking to put light on this bar - so any suggestions would be great. Also, anyone put a rear wing on one of these puppies yet? It's hard to find one that isn't just taped on, but I figured it would help with crud buildup on the back and help with the asthetics of it as well. Talk soon.

Congrats on the purchase, be prepared to pay $$ for gasoline. I have a 30 gallon tank, even though my sticker only says the 26 gallon tank...and usually average 12 - 13 mpg. $ 40.00 to 45.00 per tank depending on the price of gas.

Ford installed a factory rear wind deflector, the body shop had to do it because it required some drilling. It looks OK, at least it makes my truck diff from the other 10000 expys in the city I live in. Here is a link to a pic if you are intersted.

and still another link if you want some aftermarket mods

Nice Truck rt! and thanks for the links - I'll check them out. Mine is a 4x4 with the premium sport package on it and will have the 30 gallon tank - I'm used to 14 mpg with my Explorer 4.0 SOHC so it shouldn't be too much of a change. But hey - it's only money. What I'm really looking for is a bull bar I believe it's called - it doesnt cover the grille it just comes up over the front bumper. I've seen them on Expeditions but haven't been able to find one to purchase.

try
www.overlander.com I think you will find what you are looking for there. I really have no need for a 4x4 here in Florida, I have a 95 pathfinder 4x4 and I think I've put almost 17 miles while in 4x4. I opted for luxury and comfort vs. ablility to travel in the mud and snow this time...

you want a quick and easy mod that makes a big diff?
try the xenon (hid) wannabee headlight bulb replacement. I did the headlights and the fog lamps, now they are noticable brighter and have a bluish tint. I also changed the corner turn lamps to clear instead of amber.

enjoy..

Thank you all for keeping me working. I really appreciate it! Let me know if you have any quality problems with your Expedition or Navigator since I do build them.
