expedition air suspension to shock conversion

hi. im new here, i have a 98 expedition with the self leveling suspension and the compressor and bags are shot. i wanted to know, are shocks a direct bolt on or is there a special kit to buy to do the conversion. no i dont wanna fix the air susp because its too much of a headache. thanks.

I'd fix the air suspension!! You'll notice a hulluva change in ride quality when you go to shocks. Anyway, check this website out: Suspension Experts | Air Suspension Kits, Parts, Air Shocks & Struts they should be able to help you out.
