Re: Expedition gas mileage
Ok, on the sticker that you read at the dealership, those are the mileage ratings for using the truck in supreme conditions. When they test for gas mileage, its never over 85 degrees outside, the A/C is off, the tire pressure is perfect and they actually do the legal posted speed limit. Unless you enjoy driving in a sauna, and being passed by senior citizens, you will not likely see the posted gas mileage. However, as suggested, get a K&N airfilter kit, always run the tire size, and pressure suggested by the manufacture, and if you can control your gas foot, change the setting on your chip. Your shift ratio and air to fuel ratio are can be changed along with a few other things, this should squeak you out another 2 to 4 mpg.
