Hardwiring GPS Unit...
...into my 2001 Ford Expy. Is this a difficult undertaking for the layman?
We have a trip coming up, in the very near future, and really wish to have one of these handy devices installed. The problem is that our 12v outlets (cigarette lighter, and all aux connectors) are non-functioning. All fuses have been checked, and determined to be fine. So, the GPS unit would have to be hard-wired in. I can't say that I am in any way 'electronically talented', but I will try my hands at anything, providing that I have pretty clear-cut directions. If anyone has instructions on how to go about this, I would appreciate your sharing them with me.
