Hi i was wondering if anyone upgraded their HIDs? im not as young as i used to be last niught the guy in front of me hit a pedestrian i didnt see her till he hit her ,anywho i decided i need better night visibility so i called a friend who owns a shop and asked if he could order the 50W hid kit for me then he started to tell me horror stories about how it would "burn" my electrical system (which is why he dosent deal with anything over 35W anymore) melt the lens and housing and certainly a big NO NO according to him to put HId in the fog lights

He's right about that. By upgrading your lights to 50W, you'll increase your amp draw by 50%. In order to go with the upgrade, you'll have to make sure that the wiring and relays can accommodate it. It is possible to do, but you'll end up changing out just about everything that's factory.
