Ford Nut 1 Registered User Join Date: Oct 2010 Posts: 1	Help! I have a 1999, 4.6 with auto, 2 wd. The transmission pump is howling and will no longer shift into 3rd, also the overdrive light is flashing on the shifter. I need to get a transmission out of another, which years will interchange? Will a transmission with a 5.4 work? Will a transmission out of a F-150 work?
