My running board lights and interior lights won't go off in my 1997 expedition.
Made sure all doors and hack are closed but lights won't go off. Any suggestions?

Ford uses a switch inside of the door latch mechanism all you need to do is spay inside the latch mechanism with wd-40 or something like that and keep closing the door until the switch starts working again . it is usually the drivers door and happens to all fords.

If the WD40 doesn't work, have the dealer check the trouble codes in the computer...it can tell them if a door sensor shows open when the truck is driven (idicating a bad door sensor) and replace it. With mine, it was the one in the back deck.

Don't let them screw with you by saying they can't check it with the computer...the service dept at Folsom Lake Ford in CA said the same, but the service manager said the service techs were just being lazy, and after a discussion, they had it identified in 15 minutes.
