Hello all,

I just purchased an 03' Navigator that was in really awesome condition. It's just shy of 62k miles and looks to have been very well taken care of. Supposedly it was a trade-in from one of the dealers employees but that might have been a fish tale.

Anyway, This is my first Lincoln and my first "luxury" SUV. Any suggestions for preventative maintenance or things I should watch out for. This is going to be our primary family vehicle so I want to take really good care of it.

Any input would be appreciated.

They are very trouble free. Just service it as per the manual and all will be fine.

I'm glad you like it so far. I bought an 03 Nav with 63000 in October...

The air suspension compressor went out about 2 months ago, but i was able to repair it. (new bearing) However, after that car would never sit level. After a diagnostic by the Ford garage, they said it would be about 450 to "possibly" fix it.

I ended up replacing the system with coil-overs. (yesterday) I love them so far. I plan on adding spacers to bring the ride up a little more (I drive a lot of gravel)

Anyway, I would share and let you know that the air suspension can and likely will fail at some point. Coil-overs are the way to go. Can't beat the lifetime warranty.

I'm glad yours is working well. Mine has a butt-load of electrical problems, air ride issues, problems with the seats, and the side-step on the passenger side is acting up. I've been looking through the forums to see if I can find answers to my problems before asking for help. So far, not so good. On goes the search. Wish me luck.
