My friend has a 2000 Nav. with the 5.4 dohc,he bought a 5.4 off ebay that is sohc. My question is what problems might we encounter installing this if it is even possible?

I know this might be reverse engineering but its our only option at this point.

If the wire harness and PCM came with the engine, you should be able to tune it and get it to work normally. Running the stock computer (PCM) and wire harness may make things rather difficult, if it'll even start or stay running at all. You can thank the federal government for OBD.
