Any way long story short they said deep cleen the engine....i took it to my mecanic, they did everything even change the sensor....but after the next oil change i did it keeps doing it.....they said oil pump is fine, last time i put an oil treatment and it stop it....but now that is not helping

Re: oil pressure drop

the very same thing was happening to my 98 expedition. The oil light would come on and then it would start knocking. That happened only once and I had towed to a shop where i was told that soeme little hole was clogged and not letting the oil circulate throughout the engine, said I had a lot of gunk in my engine. He changed the oil, oilpan and some other stuff (didnt get all the details because I was just happy I hadnt blown a gasket or something more serious). Car running fine now.
