Hi. I bought a 97 expedition, came outside the next day and the right front tire is in the wheel well and the right rear is pulled down a bit too.. It doesnt have air suspension so im thinking its the TORSION BAR??? Called ford and they said that the part is not being made anymore :( Its my first week with my expedition so im a noob... Any help would be greatly appreciated, not sure where to go from here. Called a few scrappers and they dont have any torsion bars either.. What are my options?? IM LOST!

Soooo. I got underneath. It is definately the passenger side torsion bar. Broke completely off.. So my next question would be can I simply go with coil over or is there another fix without messing with the torsion bar as ford doesnt have them?? Thanks in advance..

A replacement torsion bar is the way to go.

Soooo. I got a torsion bar from the scrappers as ford doesnt have them anymore. While the donor truck was on the hoist I noticed that somebody just replaced the rear lower control arms on donor truck before they scrapped it so I got those as well.. They are less than a month old with oem stickers still attached. I got both lowers for $75 no tax and paid $75 for the torsion bar.. I think I did pretty good, now I gotta see if I can get the old broken torsion bar out of my expy.. :( Looks like its going to be a treat..
