I have a 1999 Eddie Bauer Expedition...Recently someone broke in and smashed my steering colum and broke the instrument cluster. I mean destroyed it. I need to replace it and I found a couple on E-bay, my question is that how do the miles transfer from one to another. My expy only has 85k on it and if I find one with more or less miles what will the outcome be? Also, is there any special programing that I need to have done once I receive it?

The is a module inside the cluster, and prior to removing the old cluster it is necessary to upload module configuration information to Ford scanner. Once you installed a new cluster that configuration information has to be downloaded on to the new module. Thus far I believe only a dealer can do it...
