confused Sirius Satellite Hookup

Does anyone know if the radio kits that are listed for XM are the same to use for Sirius ? Have Sirius account and would like to add activation wiring kit to make the radio work with Sat feature. Have a 6 disc premium radio in 05 EB Expedition. Also has a button for aux but not active. Everytime i search for wiring kit it only comes back with XM.

Re: Sirius Satellite Hookup

Good question. I'm not sure off hand as I only have experience with the one (on my Pontiac G6). I'd check in at a local Best Buy or Future Shop store to find out if the wiring kit is compatible. Those guys will tell you for sure!

Re: Sirius Satellite Hookup

Try the Sirius website

If I'm not mistaken an XM kit requires XM subscription. Same with Sirius.

Re: Sirius Satellite Hookup

How can you tell what brand of radio comes in your Expedition without taking the unit out ? Mine is a 6cd in dash with SAT and AUX buttons, is there a listing somewhere by VIN# or would a dealer be able to tell me by vin#.
