i started the drop on my Ex tonight...

i am installing 3" front BellTech springs and 2" rear BellTech springs.

my truck originally had the airbag rear suspension. one side busted, so i am doing the drop instead of replacing the bag. i stopped tonight with one corner left up front.

i have a bad upper balljoint on the driver side, so i am gonna let the alignment shop replace that piece and install the alignment kit at the same time.

i do have a question tho. when i got in the truck to turn it around after doing the rear end, i noticed the check suspension light was on on the dash. is there a way to turn that off? fuse maybe? i hate dash lights. lol

anyway, no pics tonight, but i will get some loaded to photobucket in the morning and get them put on here.

here you can see the sag i was getting in the back. this is before drop with the truck/ compressor running. if i had turned the truck off the rear would be sitting about 2-3" lower!

this is passenger side. the bag was working great over here!

location of my on board compressor switch was passenger side kick panel

finished up tonight...

got a lot of ribbing from the guys at work about how i will put a drop kit on my truck, and build a rockcrawler but want to pay someone to install the alignment kit and upper control arms. so i decided to pick some up and do it myself. went pretty smooth. all i lack now is getting the alignment done monday... gonna be tough not to cruise a lot this weekend with the new stance. :D

i had to pull the rear shocks today. they were rattling and upon investigation i determined the metal sleeves inside the rubber shock bushings were too large for the bolt allowing the shock to move on the bolt. i had some sleeves that fit the bolts and fit inside those sleeves so now no more rattle!!
