Re: started my drop tonight...

Yep its called takin it to a shop that didn't know what to do. Just got it back from the dealership and seems to be no issues now. Just buy the alignment kit if you do it.

Re: started my drop tonight...

LOL yeah. My buddy runs Richard's FWD in Byram and he can do anything and they just got a new alignment machine. How much did the dealer charge for the kit install and alignment? And how much was the kit?

Re: started my drop tonight...

Sorry for the late reply. I didnt get notification on this.
I installed the kit myself. Took about 6 hours, cause I had to undo the front left side and replace the upper control arm/ balljoint. The springs, shocks, and alignment kit cost 676 shipped from summit racing. the control arms were 65 each or so from Oreilly. I used Belltech components for the drop. Summit didnt sell a "kit" except for a 2" front and rear or a 3" front and rear, so I called BT and got the part numbers for the componets I needed to do a 3/2 drop. Then the dealership charged $45 to do the alignment. I am VERY happy with the way it turned out.

Re: started my drop tonight...

Thanks for the compliments...

Part #s from Belltech:
4804 - 3" front coil spring set
4952 - Alignment kit
5307 - 2" rear coil spring set
10102I - shock absorber
2208HB - shock absorber

If you order from Summit, add "BEL-" to the front of each part number. Their phone number is 800-230-3030

If you are converting from air springs in the rear, then the part numbers you will need from the Ford Dealership are:
F75Z*5536*AA - coil spring insulator
