Re: Upholstery defective
Hopefully this message is not coming too late for you to fix your upholstery. We too had defective upholstery in our Expedition-Eddie Bauer model. Because we rarely use our back seat, not until we had the car detailed, and the upholstery appeared to disintegrate before our eyes, did we realize we had a problem. I won't bore you with all the details, but the end result is that there was indeed a "silent recall" from Ford concerning that upholstery! We never would have known if we had not gone to a local upholsterer, who kindly informed us of other similar episodes, and told us that we needed to talk with our dealer. Ultimately, the dealer honored the recall. Because we were over the 36,000 mile marker, we ended up paying $100 deductible, and they did the rest. I think it would have been close to $500 otherwise. We live in MD, but I would sure hope your dealer would straighten up and fly right given the fact that you now know for sure that it is a Ford problem. Good Luck!
