Windshield Wiper light on 01 Expidition - Ford Forums

My wife's 01 Expidition's windshield wiper light came on and I can't figure out how to get it off. The resivor is full. It has a rear wiper, but I don't know if there is a rear resivor for the back. Sure seems like there would be one as that seems like a long pull from the front resivor to the back window. Anyone know about a rear resivor in this truck? or what to look for. Both wipers and fluid work.

Not sure why the light won't go out, but, according to the owners manual:
Washer fluid for the liftgate is supplied by the same reservoir as the
windshield.

Thanks Fonz - We don't have a manuel for the truck. I'll keep diggin' and see if I can get it off.

As you may have guessed, there is a fluid level sensor in the reservoir. Not sure if you can buy just the sensor, you might try emptying the tank and clean it out real good, the level sensor might be stuck.

I have a 98 expy that would stay on for 1-2 minutes then go off. I had been using regular tap water in the reservoir. I drained and rinsed the reservoir, then refilled with fresh windshield fluid and the light has been off since.

I'm having the same issue and I just gave up lol
