'03 Expedition Wheel question

Hi Everyone, Noob here-

I have an '03 Expedition Eddie Bauer (17 inch wheels). My brother-in-law has an '06 F-150 Lariat (18 inch wheels). He's getting a set of 22's, and offered to give me the 18's from his truck. Question- Should they be a direct swap? I tried putting one on just to see how they'd look, and the clearance on the front seems REALLY tight with the brake caliper.

Thanks in advance for any input you may have!

Re: '03 Expedition Wheel question

The offset is higher than the stock wheels from your Expedition. The brake clearance is one concern. You will also want to check to see if the tires clear at full steering wheel lock.

Re: '03 Expedition Wheel question

18" wheel should have more brake caliper clearance than a 17", as long as the bolt pattern is the same try them all and drive it around and see if it works, make sure you turn the wheel all the way when making turns to make sure it doesnt rub. Because the only problem you may have is offset???
