My belief would be yes by keeping the offset of the rim centred. My first car was an XD and although it didn't have a 9" the best tyre combo was a 275/60/15. However in saying that at 1 time I did have my brothers 15x10 with 295/60/15 on and it looked tough. Couldn't have anybody in the back but it looked good. You just have to watch when the tyre grows. Suggestion would be to try and find a mate who may know someone that has a set of 28x10.5x15.
