Am looking to change my Ford 16" rims (the current 5 blade/slasher type rim) to the AU11 17" (flat face, 5 spoke rim).
Can anyone provide some feedback (apart from the comprimise of course, of the XR looking more balanced with the 17" wheels) how much worse is the road noise and ride (if any?) from the lower profile tyre used on the 17" wheel relative to the tyres (I've got the Ford issue Dunlop/Bathurst)used on the 16" wheel?

I do believe that the suspension set up is exactly the same from the AU1 to the AU11 across the 6 and 8 range.

I have AU2 utility with 16" and Monza tyres and AU2 XR6 sedan and ute with 17" and Sport 9000 tyres. There is more road noise with the 17" tyres (directional tread) but the grip is way better....fair trade off
