have just replaced the tyres on the ba 50.000ks they wern't worn out [only the rears] were getting low. but shock came when the wheels came off the fitter noticed huge cracks in the inner sidewalls and very close to blowout material it was not from under inflaition was running 38psi so has anyone else experienced this or maybe it should be something to be aware off. they were 235/45/17 dunlops std on the ba xr6 i think 3000 series

i have only done 25000kms on mine, and show no sign of cracking at this stage. car is aligned properly, however one is almost trashed when the others have alot left. thats my only problem with them. i run about 32 psi in them. tyre fitter said it helps with a smoother ride on the rougher roads.

There were a few reported issues on these dunlop tyres doing exactly that, cracking and I think they were seen on the early BA XR's. I think there are a few threads on this issues on this forum. I run 36psi on my BA XR8 and nitrogen in them. so far 23K they are still flat and no wear. But I havent seen inside, YET!!!!

Interesting... I replace worn out SP3000s every day and I've never seen any. Could have been the original batch maybe?
