I will soon be buying a Territory and would like to fit the current 17"x8 XR 8 rims on. I have heard conflicting reports that they will not fit due to the Territory's bigger brakes and higher load rating.

Will they fit?
Do they have the same load rating?
If not, will it pass insurance claims?

Ask your Ford dealer, if they don't know they should be able to find out. Perhaps Mr Territory will know. Gut feeling is you may be disappointed. Actually the offset is a bit different I think, roughly halfway between the normal AU/BA offset and the older Falcons.

I wonder if the reverse is possilbe - putting Territory rims on a Falcon? Reason being I have heard of some 17" XR wheels being damaged on potholes.

Territory requires a load rated wheel the XR8 wheel does not have a high enough rating ROH makes a wheel called the R/T which is available in 17 and 18 inch which is one of only 2 wheels on the market with a high enough rating

i saw a BA taxi the other night with the standard Territory rims on it, looked weird, but i wasnt dreaming, so i guess its definatly possible
