Dont know about the legal side of things, but 295 X 30 are about the right size for a 10 in rim.............

im in vic... the wheels wont be happening for quite some time now( i just bought a 95 tickford fairmont for 6000) so this isnt really a pressing issue... but ide still be interested to know for future reference

Mate, you will be hard pressed to fit an 18x10 under the rear. I have done it, but lateral movement of the rear axle causes rubbing issues, so a major rework of the watts link is step one. You will need to have the factory brackets strengthened, and then have new bars fabricated and heim joints on all four ends, as well as a sintered bronze center bush, or a roller bearing. For the record, 305 30 18's will fit.
