18"x75" Mags and 245/40/r18

Can you fit 245/40 rubber on a 7.5" wide 18" rim? I noticed most tyre places try to sell you 235/45/r18 rubber which runs the same profile as the 17" tyre but on an 18" rim, which means you increase your rolling diametre by 1"!!

The reason i ask is the mags I want only come in 7.5" and the factory 18" with 245/40 rubber are 8" wide.

Yeah, they'll bag out a little bit, but there won't be any issues with them.

Nah, they won't be square.

What rims are you looking at getting?

They are REX rims, can't remember the name. Direct copy of Lowenhart LD1's. Only come in 7.5"

There's a few copies of LD1's floating around. Have you tried looking at another manufacturer who does a copy of the wheel?

Re: 18"x75" Mags and 245/40/r18

they will fit really good.
I have 265's on 8" and they protude a small amount protecting the rims from kerb damage.
It also helps the tyre wear on the shoulders
I have been running my 245's @ 50 psi and upping that to 55psi trying to get more wear in the tyre centre.
