ive just bought an ED Ghia and the Check ABS light comes on after about 30 seconds of driving. when you first start it the light goes off, but when you start to drive it, it comes back on and stays on. ive checked the wheel sensors and cleaned them but it still comes up. any ideas as to what it could be?

must be a dud sensor or faulty ECU. Might need a trip to Ford to diagnose properly

Mine did it to john, for ages, they couldnt find any faults, so i just pulled out teh globe, the ABS still worked.
Now my car doesnt run any ABS, the discs are non abs.

but i need it to pass a roadworthy. will pull out the globe and see if he notices it dosnt come on, on start up. this guy doesnt test drive them so it should be alright. i still want to know what it is though. dont think the axle would be bent, and old lady drove it round. that would explain the few dints here and there.

when the light comes on they wont pass it. thats what he told me. i want to know what it is anyway, am getting it put on a diagnostic machine to find out what is stuffed. also where is the ABS Relay??

there are 5 or so relays under the coolant reservior. that might be one of them?

thats what came up in the diagnostic test on mine. we cleared the memory, and did it again and it came up but then did it a few more times then it didnt. also kept coming up with code 10 (seperator code) but it doesnt say what it is or what to change in the Ford Workshop manual. the guy reckons its the ECU which has fried it self which is apperently common on EB/ED.
