Aftermarket wheel tyre pressure?

Hey guys i have a 1996 xr6 with 17x8 AJR's and 235/45/17 tyres and i was wondering wat psi or kpa? they should inflate to?

In the ford manual it says:
Front Rear
Sports suspension (normal) 200(29) 200(29)
Sports suspension (max load) 230(forgot?) 270(forgot?)

Should i follow these instructions or as the wheels and tyres differ from the origanals what pressure should be inflated to?

Thanks for your help

Re: Aftermarket wheel tyre pressure?

I have two sets of 17's, i run around town at about 38-9 PSI, and bump it up to 40-41 for the highway.

Re: Aftermarket wheel tyre pressure?

There has been a lot of posts on here about this subject. So do a search and it will give you everything you need to know.

It seems that pretty much everybody is running around 38 - 39 psi.
