I am just about to remove my Au2 xr8 brakes to make way for the premiums i scored a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if my old brakes are able to be used as an upgrade for my mates EB xr6. If they will go on there whats involved...

the twin pot callipers are alot longer so the mounting holes will not come close to lining up

you can have brackets made if you can be bothered.

The thing to be aware of is the height of the disc, as if it is too big/ small it could create dramas.

www.dba.com.au you will find a list of the discs in the ford catalogue. Compare heights there :)

ok sweet so all they are good for is a cheap upgrade for Au series 1 owners

no not really, the same problems arise, the control arm (dam i cant think of the exact name) doesnt have the mounting points for the bigger brake callipers, the control arm is attached to the subframe, it quite a big job,

rofl...i wouldn't go that far.. someone with an AU1 that was willing to get the other bits would save a few hundred by not needing to get callipers..

are they 2 or single pot calipers? If they're 2 pots id be interested in them if the price is right...They are off the front yes? year model?
