I have seen all these e series falcons mostly ef and el's getting around with au 17's on them. After som inversifation i found 3 ways of doing this.
1 big spacers
2 adaptors that bolt to the hub then the wheel
3 weld spacer to the wheel
What I was wondering what are the pros and cons of each.
I am thinking of putting the au t-series rebel 18's on my el but keep ketting different sugestions form the tyre places.
Can anybody help?

Do a search on this and you will find it has been brought up many times before. Basically spacers are not good because they increase the load on the wheel studs which causes them to break. That's why they are illegal in many states. There are now a few copies of the AU alloys which are made with E-series offsets, so they may be worth a look.
I've just gone from 15s to 17s on my EF at one of the tyre/wheel shops here in Newcastle. They use the adapter hubs (not spacers) and have done quite a lot of them on E-series Falcons. As you've probably found, there's bugger-all wheels that actually fit E-series, whether Tickford copies or otherwise. That's the reason I went for the adaptors.
As they actually bolt to the hubs, they shouldn't place anywhere near the anount of stress on the studs that spacers do. Btw, the adapters were $300 for a set of 4.

anything else would need spacers, i personally wouldn't use spacers :)
Well, I rang rang up a joint and they said that they have copies of the Tickford 5-Spoke that is on the AUI XR8. They cost $990 just the alloys or $1660 alloys & tyres. Not bad if you ask me.

Coolies
If you get imitation AUI XR wheels that will make a few people happy. At least that will give you the option of AUI and AUII.. Pitty I have just made a huge purchase that doesn't leave much in the way of available funds:sad:
i just picked up AU2 copies for $1000 brand new with tyres
