hey guys
I own an EB falcon and i wanted to put the AU series 2 XR8 wheels on it, is this a straight fit?
the xr8 ones are 17 inch and i think 225 or maybe 235.
any info would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. They're are going to sit in too far due to the difference in offset. They'll actually fit on the back but they'll sit in A LOT and they're going to hit on the brakes on the front. As far as I'm aware spacers are illegal in VIC but you may want to check with VicRoads.

you can get copies of those wheels to suit an EB.
go that way if you can find them in shops.

hmm yeh.
What other mags would suit my eb then.
my budget is around $1000 with tyres so brand new stuff isnt really possible, so i was looking at 2nd hand wheels. I would go up to 1300 maybe. I can get EL GT fakes with tyres for 1290. is that good? are they alright even though they are fake?
i was also thinking about el xr8 ones to.
i want 16" or 17". what should i get?

thats with new tyres, i heard somewhere though that gt fakes are pretty bad quaility and dont last long, like get cracks and stuff. does anyone know about this

A lot of the copies are done by cheap (almost backyard) operators overseas. I haven't heard of any specific cases, but I know some of these wheels are done by BSA, and as I said in one of my other posts, BSA quality is ordinary at best.
