I've been considering an upgrade for the xr6 and just got some figures from a tyre/brake/suspension place not long ago.
Option 1 - Bigger rotors $200 - slotted
- Better pads $140 eg bendix ultimates or something
Option 2 - 330mm Twin piston AU2-3 style calipers
= Total cost of $2500 due to suspension needing to be re-engineered or something....so the story goes.
Can anyone else shed any light on the way to go ? With some planned engine mods happening I thought an upgrade from the taxi brakes I have might not be a bad idea.
What has anyone else done to resolve this - short of upgrading to a Series 2/3 or later model. Mmmm T Series or GT....
