BA How To Replace LHS Lower Control Arm?

The LHS RLCA (Rear Lower Control Arm) on my BA is bent and I must replace it.

A quick check suggested the job was simple and did not warrant the $400 I was quoted for labour. I proceeded to remove the RLCA only to find that the inner bolt (the cambolt for allignment) fouls with the diff, preventing its removal. Instructions that I have read simply say "remove bolt" and whilst this might work on the RHS I cannot see how there is room on the LHS. Raising the diff would help but the designers appear to have made that impossible too.

The only solution that I can see is to remove the entire sub frame, then remove the diff and then remove the bolt and RLCA. Surely this can't be right? :idk:

TIA
