Does anyonw know what the Ba xr8 offset is and what the stud pattern is. I have found a set of rims that i would consider fitting to the Xr8 but need to find out if they would fit. I have a link to the site but i dont understand all the numbers that they have posted.
BA is 5x114.3 PCD, 71.5mm centre bore at front, 70.5mm at rear. AU is the same except the front centre bore is 71.8mm. Offset for the BA XR rims is +36.5. Any offset between +40 and +32 will be ok on BA's.
Here's a pic of the casting on the back of a 17" BA XR rim.
Judging by what is written in the website it looks ok, same stud pattern in 5x114.3 and a whole range of offsets. Ya should be able to pic one that looks sweet with a nice deep dish.

Unfortunately 8" wide rim with a +32 to +40 offset doesn't leave much room for a "dish" look, but it all depends on the design of the wheel, might get 15mm-20mm if you are lucky.

This also means that the falcons share the same stud pattern as a mustang cobra. Which i think's means there heaps of rim choices to be found in the states.
9" would give a bit of a lip, but 10" even more. Unfortunately a 10" rim on the back of a BA sedan is not permitted here in Vic, don't know about NSW. Yes the Moostang is the same stud pattern, and USA have a large number of wheels that will fit AU and BA. The price to import a set to Oz will kill that idea in the end though.

Well im lucky in one respect, my uncle is the largest private tyre importer in australia. His old partner is a majour rim importer and he should get them for a good price. I got a price for rims for my Ef and they were $1ooo a rim for custom billets at the back and $9oo a front in 19x12's at the back and 18x8's up front. Tyres were around (i think) $600 a rear for P-zeros.

Ha ha, that's worth quoting for a second time I reckon. You lucky SOB, an uncle in the tyre game. Top prices that. I think we should be friends.. LOL..need a friend in Melbourne? :beer2:
Yes it does that's why i don't smoke, would like to keep the couple of brain cells I have left for as long as possible. Only thing I smoke is tyres, and with a friend like you around to supply tyres at friendly rates, I could be smoking a hell of a lot more.. :hl:

Thanks for the offer mate, will see what happens in the near future. BTW is the pic below the rims you thinking of getting? They look awesome, especially the dished out rear ones.
Yea just thinking at this stage, once i actually buy the car the remaining money will be put towards go fast bits. Once i got that sorted hopfully in a few months ill get some nice BIG rims like these. I think there ok but they really standout and make the car look great.

Oh yeah, I know Claremont. I think I've spoken to him a few times as well. The wholesale section of the business trades under Claremont Distributors, and I think their retail section is Claremont Tyres.
