Best single bang for buck mod? Help me waste my tyres!

Hi guys,
I currently drive an EB auto sedan. It is dual fuel and dead stock.
I plan to have all the parts needed to turbo the beast in 2 months. It will be on straight gas then.
But for now it is boring to drive.
I want to be able to spin the tyres going around corners on demand to make it that little bit more exciting. But I dont want to spend a lot of cash doing this. My last car was a 351 XF and it could do it easy. It is running 17 inch 235 tyres. with a 3.27 single spinner diff.

What should I do?
Will 3.45 diff gears enough to bag them up easily? Does anyone else know anything about putting even lower gears behind the auto? A cam maybe? (remember car is completely stock, no exhaust system etc)
Or should I just take off my wheels and put 14 inch 195's on until my turbo gear is sorted?
I dont want to go manual at the moment either because im pretty confident my turbo will break it, ( Im not a gentle manual driver).

Any serious ideas?

Thanks guys
Dan

Re: Best single bang for buck mod? Help me waste my tyres!

The difference between 3.27 and 3.45 is minimal and it's not worth the cost, unless you source VL diff gears and install them yourself.

A cam isn't such a good idea with a stock exhaust. The bottom line is I'd get some stock 14s for the moment - for use on private roads.

Also bear in mind any mods that might bring benefits in the short term could be incompatible with your longer term plans. You could get a 2.5" exhaust now, only to have to upgrade it to a 3" next year or something. This factor is the reason why so much of my car is still stock.

Thanks for that Jack. I pretty much thought as such. Its hard trying to leave the car alone while saving for turbo setup especially when Im not happy with how it goes now. Oh well soon, soon it will happen.

Come to think of it I have some 14 inch wheels under the house with wrecked tyres from the day before I got my 17's for my XF! Perfect!

You cant already do this? Not even around corners? Ive got extractors/exhaust and cold air intake on my AU and i can light them up from a standing start in an auto without touching the brake. Just jump on the accellerator and they start spinnin. I would have thought you could spin them around corners? I could do that when my car was stock. Im not braggin or havin a go at ya, I just never heard a car that you couldnt get spin if you gassed it around the corner. My mate does it in his GF's stocko mirage all the time (Just dont tell her!).

My mate bent his 17 inch wheel on his VS a while ago and has taken both the rears off so they match. Its good fun with 195's when your used to 235's. Maybe that is what Ill do except I dont want to look like a tryhard. Can you get 185's in falcon sizes or is it too small. I might get hubcaps all round.

Re: Best single bang for buck mod? Help me waste my tyres!

BlueAU- The car is slow. My old ED could do it easy as well. The EB does do it but it takes a bit of effort and doesnt do it as well as I would like.
Im also used to driving a 351 falcon as well, so I might be asking a little much from the EB. The 351 could light them up very easy. No brake and full throttle meant a 50 metre straight line burnout and lots of smoke. I miss her!
