Brake Change

heya guys,

just a quick note, i put new rotors on the rear, and new Ferodo Excel pads all around.. Cost was about $280 all up, and so far they have been great..

My rear pads were metal to metal (thanks heathcote and burnouts!, oh and not changing them for 2 years ), and front weren't far off it.. Brakes were making terrible noises..

All up, front pads, rear rotors and rear pads took an hour to replace.. Not bad considering i only had one jack

Apparently these pads aren't bad, but i will post the comparisson between these and my bendix ultimates that i had on there..

So far, these pads don't take as long to heat up like my ultimates did..

Re: Brake Change

Rotors are just stock... and they were $60 a side.. Can't see slotted or cross-drilled rotors being too much use on the rears.. and front and back pads amounted to $160..

Mind you, this was all at trade price from repco i think...

Re: Brake Change

I'm washing the car in the next couple of days, as soon as i have some time off work, and i will let ya know how much dust they make..

They are 100% asbestos free, so some dust is inevitable.. ?
