I'm half way through pulling off my front discs to have them machined. now, i have undone the top & bottom long bolts that go through the caliper and lifted it off.
Off came the pads. Now whats the go with the disc. should it pull staright off or is there another bold that i need to remove to pull the disc off..........
You have to pull of the cap in the centre of the disc (in the centre between the bolts which hold the wheel to the rotor), you will need to pry it off with a screwdriver or something like that. You will then see the main bolt which holds the disc rotor on. Take out the split pin, and then the luck nut, adjustment nut and washer. Then the rotor pulls straight off.
