confused Cheap tyres, would you?

Howdy people's,
From time to time i've seen cheap tyres on Ebay, 17's 18's all are reputable brands, Pirelli, Bridgestone etc. Just wondering if anyone has purchased any from ebay? how are they? Why are they so cheap? are they factory rejects? In the descriptions they say "brand new''. Is this a scam? Would any of you seriously consider buying them on the net? Your thoughts please.

Re: Cheap tyres, would you?

most of the time they are taken off imports which dont comply to australian standars, if u have these on ur car and crash, chances are the insurance company will screw u on payment, its sux but they look for a way out of paying . same as non listed modifications, my work truck has a list a mile long . they asked me do i really use it for work, my reply was U bet ya, if i cant have a luxury car for being a fabrictor, im having a luxury truck.
