Oops! Sorry guys - I forgot to mention that it's a 5-speed manual.
It's cheap because that is the payout for the lease + a little mark-up for me to get back what I've put in extra out of my pocket over the life of the lease. I'm not really trying to make money out of the transaction. It is in an immaculate condition, mechanically and body wise.

well.. your car has leather, momo steering / gearshifter, over mine.. mine has body kit over yours.. as well as prem brakes and sound... but i sure as hell would be asking at least over 30g's
Bloody hell, now you guys have got me feeling like a dickhead...
As I said, I did not expect to make money on the transaction, and simply wanted what it cost me. And I wanted to pass the car onto a fellow Ford lover - that's why I listed in this forum before the car was listed in the papers.
However, it sounds like may be I'm throwing money away at this price! And also, the last thing I want to do is to upset others that may have a similar car for sale and can't afford to accept anything lower than fair market value.
I'm therefore retracting the original offer of $26,000.
Instead, I'll ask interested persons to make an offer, any offer, which I will consider sometime in May. After this, if there are no serious buyer from this group, I'll be putting it in the papers, probably for around $30k. I'll consider any offer from members of this forum between $26k and $30k.
My sincere apologies to people (one, actually so far) that have already expressed their interest.

Not my intention! I was having a laugh at the people suggesting $30k. The price your vehicle will sell for will be determined by the market. Now that you have advertised it on here for $26k, I doubt you'll get many offers over that - but you never know.
And at $26k, your reasons were right. Yes it would be good to get $30k, but you may also have just lost the only seriously interested person (not me, BTW). My $30K (OK, the banks $30k) is aimed elsewhere.
