can anybody suggest a decent combo of street/semi drag tyres? to fit an EF falcon...i can only seem to get a 2.268 6o foot launching with I6 and 5spd.. i need more grip!!! just wheel spins alot... and yes...is pov 3.08 single spinner diff.. just want a gd drag slick..

You can get a BFG drag radial, they aren't real cheap but you won't do better for street legal rubber. I've done a similar 60 footer in my ute, with 245/50r16 tyres (Hankook) but I only ran 15.95 @ 83-odd mph. I have 3.45 gears but nearly 100kg extra. If the full on drag radial is to exxy just go for a wider 15" tyre, lower your pressures and make sure you get plenty of heat into it with the burnout.

several options , do you have a Bandag agent close buy ?
I have some 245/15 caps done with lots of sticky rubber and sipped for a good price , just bad in the wet :_)

I don't recommend the BFG drag radial. I've seen them used and it was wheelspin city. I do recommend the MT (mickey thompson) drag radial though

15.308 at 93.97mph... is my best time so far... wasnt a perfect run though...still a tenth or two left in the current setup...
im currently running 215/65/14s... i smoke them gd to heat them up but grip doesnt increase too much... (yeah i know its a road tyre)..

Ok then. What I was basing my recommendation on is that I think Alex has the BFGs on his XB GT now and he is happy with them - they might be mickey t's though...
