Had the same set on my EA. I paid $135 ea so you gotem cheap. For memory the A5 model were used on W.A police cars for a while so i thought i'd give'em a go. I found they worked a lot better once they'd warmed up. I'd still giv'em 6-7/10 but the G-Grid's performed a lot better all round for the extra few bucks.
Eatdust Im considering G Grids for my car, just been for a ride in an ED with em and they were pretty quiet. The owner of the ED reckons theyre a pretty good all rounder. How much would u give a G Grid out of 10?
Had a look on the bridgestone site, but it seems the g grid has been replaced with the 'grid 2' (?)
The Yokohama site lists the a509, but under the info for the a539 it states the 539 was designed to succeed the 309.
Id like to go Yokie a539 but am worried about how quickly theyll wear. Admittedly tho i drive like a granny most of the time.
If Bridgestones can offer a tyre which is at the level of the a539/309 but has better durability, i wouldnt mind giving them a go. I had re92s 15" on my EA , and found them to be an excellnt (passenger car) tyre, but im ready to go a little sportier with my 16" on the ED.
Yeah Ive een told that Kumho and Hankook are very well priced tyres, great value for money.
Ive been resurrecting heaps of old tyre posts recently, trying to make my choice! There are so many tyres out there and i dont want to make the wrong choice (if there is such a thing) and I dont know exactly how helpful the staff at a bobjane/beaurepairs etc place would be.
