What is the main cause of the dreaded Falcon front end squeak? IS it the spring seats, or upper control arm rubbers?

I have a on old 6cyl XY that sqeaks like a bastard and I need to fix this NOW!

Upper control arm has greasable bush. The rubbers were introduced on the XC. The greasable bushes are preferable if handling is the goal.

Get onto those little nipple's and give em some squeze, Oh I mean. grease, that will shut her up,lol.

Pull apart the caster arm rubber bushes and replace / grease them, check the spring saddles, these can squeak as well. Brake fluid is a good lubricant for the rubber if a quick fix is desired although the long term solution is to replace the offending bits.

just grab xc or newer upper arms & fit new bushes, thats what I did with both my XY's & never looked back, if you can do the work yourself should cost about $100 all up (second hand arms, new bushes).
