Re: ED sprint wheels ?

Almost, the Sprint wheels are plain but their centre caps have the Ford logo, whereas the SVO ones have 'SVO' written on one of the spokes and plain centre caps. I've got the Sprint wheels with SVO centre caps, badge-free.

Also many SVO wheels were dark grey in colour.

Also I found out why some VL/VN Commodores have these wheels - they were made by ROH for Commodore offset/stud pattern.

Re: ED sprint wheels ?

I'm considering a pair at some point, I reckon they look mint on EA-ED. I'd prefer 17" though.

Re: ED sprint wheels ?

I used to dream of a 17" or 18" version, which of course does not exist. Later model AMG Mercedes wheels look very similar (remembering the EA SVO style wheel was used on '80s AMGs, but with AMG written on one of the spokes), which would need custom hubs to fit on a Falcon. Would suit an EF/EL because of the softer lines though.

Anyway, because big wheels have so many millions of disadvantages (weight, bulk, cost, tyre prices, theft likelihood, rolling resistance, performance/economy/ride losses, etc) I think 16" is a great compromise personally.
