Grey Fox Registered User Join Date: Aug 2004 Posts: 2	F-150 4x4 HUBS TOO HOT? Just re-packed front wheel bearings & installed new brake pads on my 1991 F-150 4X4. After driving about 3 miles at 50MPH the hubs are too hot to comfortably hold a hand on. I am wondering if maybe I tightened the wheel bearing too much. After tightening I back off 1/4 turn. Any thoughts? Grey Fox
