I did put something here, but it vanshied, I think
i found pretty much what i already knew on those previous posts thanks anyway. i've replaced the compessor and shocks already a number of months ago. stopped leaking and such. but this problem baffles me, there is constant power running to the valve i've tested this. so it must either hold open the valve or hold it closed (guessing switching polarity cylces this state). at the moment it must be holding it open.
I will take up the idea on those posts though of connecting a seperate valve to the air lines to instantly lower the back :) (when i fix this problem) have to connect a switch through the circuit breaker to disable the pump too.
Thanks, Paul

Check a) Link at diff not disconnected or wiring harness plug at diff not loose, disconnected or dirty. Have you tried the self diagnostic test; if so what codes? There is an internal diode in the vent valve solenoid that fails if earth and positive wires are switched so has this happened? But do the self test first; no tools are needed.
Blue - yes thats excactly what i want to know thanks... i'll do the self test tonight and check underneath the beast tomorrow morning. If it is this diode in the solenoid (dont know if wires were switched) it'll be another compressor unit :( unless there is a way to fix?????
Thanks again to all.
