Hi,
posting for a friend.
Will the front and rear rotors from a 85 fairlane fit straight onto an XF fairmont Ghia without any probs?

If you have discs on the back of your XF already...y change?

Otherwise you will have to change the rear setup to run discs and the brake lines from the cylinder have a different proportional valve in them I think as well.

Sorry for confusion. He already has disc brakes on the back, but he can get a set of good rotors from a fairlane to replace the four on his XF which are heavily grooved.

Otherwise I will suggest he buys newies which aren't too dear I don't think.

Ring a parts place, they will tell you if the same parts came on both cars, are the overall diameter of the discs the same, will be your main problem for a start, the rear should be fine if diameter is the same, as same axles were used, the front I dont if stubs were different so inside diameter where the bearings go could be a prob, otherwise same thing diameters, bolt pattern etc should be fine.
