Exclamation Focus Se Wagon 2002 REAR Bearing HELP!

hi there,
I drive a 2002 Focus SE Wagon and i think i got a rear bearing that blew. When i jack the car i have about 3/4 inch play on the wheel when i try to wiggle it. So i am guessing the bearing. Can anyone tell me if this is a DIY job? Do i need a press to get the replacement bearing in ? and is it ONE or TWO bearings ?

Help would be gladly apreciated Thank you :)

Mike

Re: Focus Se Wagon 2002 REAR Bearing HELP!

It's a bearing for sure if you can rock the wheel that much! Most wheel bearings on newer models are sealed units and usually bolt on (hub assembly). You'll save a couple hundred bucks if you can swap it out yourself. By the looks of things you will need a press for the Focus rear bearings: eBay Motors: Focus Rear Hub Wheel Bearing & Rebuild Kit 00-08 (item 230314680568 end time Dec-23-08 00:23:14 PST)
